Afandou is one of Rhodes oldest villages, located on the east coast of the island and central to many fabulous beaches and attractions. Surrounded by lush countryside, the village has a picturesque church, a great selection of tavernas, cafes, bars and shops, and is an ideal base from which to explore Rhodes. Afandou Golf Course is nearby and the vibrant holiday resort of Faliraki is seven kms away.
Only one kilometre from the village, the unspoiled shingle beach of Afandou spaciously stretches out for almost four kilometres. With a warm crystal clear sea, this is a perfect beach for relaxing.
Additional nearby beaches include Kolympia, Tsambika and Anthony Quinn Bay, and watersports, cruises and other activities are in abundance.
